    Farthest Frontier

The Saw Pit is a resource conversion building that consumes

    Logs

    Logs and produces

    Planks

Planks. As planks are a resource needed for construction of several T1 and T2 buildings, the Saw Pit (and its upgrade, the Saw Mill) will be needed in near-constant production to meet expansion needs through much of the early and mid-game

    Upgrade Information

Upgrading to a Saw Mill confers the following benefits:

    • Increased plank production rate
    • Increased plank storage capacity
    • Additional Occupancy slots for workers
    • Increased health, improving resilience against attack and environmental damage

    Basic Strategy

Saw mills are negative desirability buildings and should be kept away from Residential districts. Given their limited types of input/output and need for a constant feedstock of input resources, it is strongly recommended for Players to build Saw pits near both their primary source of Log harvesting and the Stockyard, which stores both logs and planks for use in construction and other conversion processes.
