    The Firewood Splitter is a critical early-game resource building which creates the Firewood necessary to prevent villagers from freezing to death and experiencing temperature-related Maladies in cold-weather conditions. Firewood is also used in the conversion process of several other resource buildings, so ensuring a steady supply is paramount to any fledgling village.
