    Farthest Frontier

Deer are wildlife units used by hunter to produce 60 meat, 1 tallow and 1 pelts. Once hunted they leave a carcass on the ground that will disappear after some time[need data]. A hunter can bring a maximum of 2 deer carcasses and store up to four carcasses in the Hunter Cabin.

Deer will respawn automatically after some time[need data] until the maximum population of the area is reached. This maximum population is accessible using the resource widget shortcut.

Deer will run away when they encounter a villager; this behavior may decrease the labor yield of a hunter, particularly when the deer become trapped outside the hunting area set in the Hunter Cabin interface. To prevent this diffusion they must be enclosed inside a 14x14[need data] area of wood or stone barrier. With a smaller area deer may appear outside.

The maximum population of the spot depends on the tree density[need data] and can be increased or decreased by planting or chopping trees respectively.

If all the trees are removed or if the city reaches the deer spot, it may move away to the closest forest or disappear altogether.
