Section labels
@User:NotAracham I was wondering why you decided to label the sections "Initial, U1, U2, U3" instead of just "T1, T2, T3, T4", which is how most players and even the game itself refers to building tiers. It just seems so much more intuitive. I was actually kinda confused when I first saw those labels, thinking U1 was T1, and then wondering why there were only 3 tiers on the shelters when I knew there were supposed to be 4. Hope you don't mind if I just rename them, it's really triggering my OCD. Wakko (talk) 22:42, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- This is intentional, and is referring to upgrade sequence, which may not always be aligned with initial building/town hall/settlement tier. E.g. some builds are introduced at tier 2, but may have additional upgrades. --NotAracham (talk) 23:00, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- That said, there are absolutely wiki documentation gaps when it comes to new buildings/upgrades and that the wiki is generally out of date vs current state of play -- as a project this has been on pause for me while I tackle a degree program + wait for the 1.0 release so do keep those caveats in mind re: accuracy of documentation. --NotAracham (talk) 23:30, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- Alright, fair enough. Personally, I view the settlement tier buildings unlock at completely separate and unrelated to a building's own tier level. I never considered the initial level of a building that unlocks at T2 Town Center to be T2. Could you perhaps refer to a building's own tier as levels instead (L1, L2, L3, L4), to avoid the confusion with unlock tiers? Or does this still cause the same issue?
